Tuesday Poetry

I Love The Tuesday Birds

By Billie Daddario

Tuesday birds the ones

by the lake where I walk the dog.

Tuesday birds sing the most beautiful songs

They sing with the most variety,

because Tuesday birds are the most varied

they sing with chortles and shrills and caws.

They call to their kind (I wonder if the geese can understand the swallows)

They are also the most beautiful.

There are geese of course,

And swallows, crows, hawks, and sometimes an eagle

There are also water birds like the king rail and the white ibis

All singing a concert of no concern on a Tuesday morning.
